Sara Terry (1955 - 2025)

Our beloved friend, inspiring human being and extraordinary photographer & filmmaker passed away on October 13, 2025. Her impact on so many lives endures, and her light will continue to shine through the memories she left behind and the values she lived by in her work and life.

Sara embodied what truly matters — the ability to see beyond the binary “good vs. evil” narrative, and to believe in recovery, resilience, and rebuilding through community. She reminded us that healing and transformation take time. She called for moral courage, truth, forgiveness and compassion. She modeled patience, empathy, reconciliation, generosity, humility, always striving to bridge separation. A natural community builder, she designed her projects to create a ripple effect that extended beyond the immediate audience of her medium.

She lived by the principle: We > I.
